Little Willie had a mirror,
And he licked the back all off,
Vainly thinking, in his terror,
  It would cure the whooping-cough.
At the fun’ral said his mother
  To her neighbor, Mrs. Brown,
“‘Twas a chilly day for Willie
   When the mercury went down.”

An obvious rewrite of one of the earliest “Little Willies” published as early as 1895.
