Willie, with the garden shears

Posted in: Little Willie Poems |

Willie, with the garden shears
Cut off both the baby’s ears.
At the baby, so unslightly,
Mother raised her eyebrows slightly.

And here’s an earlier version:

Bobby with the nursery shears
Cut off both the baby’s ears;
At the baby, so unsightly,
Mamma raised her eyebrows slightly.

Published in Sunset, a magazine by Southern Pacific Company, in June 1902.
